Vision
The Fisher Institute of Air & Space Strategic Studies was established in 1992. It aspires to be a leading Insititute for the interdisciplinary study and discussion of issues related to air and space in general policy, national security, international affairs and advanced technology. The Institute enables open and creative thinking and discussion on strategic subjects, both commercial and military. The Institute investigates the doctrines of operation, the quality and safety of aviation and directions of relevant technological development to assist the State of Israel in becoming a leader and contributor at an international level in these fields.
The Institute maintains reciprocal contact and cooperation with academic institutes abroad, for example: the Rand Institute in the USA, The Center for Air and Space Strategic Research in France, and similar centers in Canada, Australia, Japan, Russia, Greece, Turkey, Jordan and others.
The Institute’s activities range from conducting in-depth long and short term strategic studies and international conferences, symposia and workshops to publication of position papers, articles and newsletters.
