IAF Change of Command

It is with great honor that we would like to announce that on May 13th, 2008 Major General Ido Nechushtan assumed the position of the 16th Israel Air Force Commander.

Major General Nechushtan was born in 1957 in Jerusalem, where he was raised and educated.  In 1975 he enlisted in the Air Force and in 1977 he graduated with honor from the Israel Air Force Flight Academy as a fighter pilot.  During his service he rose through the ranks and on May 13th, 2008 he was appointed the 16th Air Force Commander.

Major General Nechushtan also holds a degree with honors in mathematics and a computer science from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, a graduate degree in business administration from the Kellogg School of management at Northwestern University in Chicago and the Tel Aviv University's Recanati School of Business Administration.  He is also a graduate of Harvard University's Advanced Management Program.

We all wish Major General Nechushtan success with a prayer that his term will bring peace in the Middle East.
