February 27th

Mr. Phil Friedman hosted dinner at the Solo Restaurant, New York on February 27th with guest speaker, Brig. Gen. Shmaya Avieli, Israel Air Attach?, Washington DC.  He spoke about his experience during the recent war with the Hezbollah.  We were joined by longtime supporters of the IAFC Mr. Shahram Yagoubzadeh, Mr. Lee Harounian and Mr. Shahram Rabani of the Iranian American Jewish Federation of New York.

Mr. Jose Serur, March 21st

The Inauguration of the Mexican Friends of the Aerospace Center in Israel took place in March together with Maj. Gen. (Ret.) Eitan Ben Eliahu.  who gave an important analysis on the latest situation in the Middle East with emphasis on Iran and Iraq. Mr. Jose Serur hosted a private breakfaston March 21st with leaders of the Jewish community and Israel Ambassador to Mexico, His Excellency Yosef Livne.

Mr. Ehud Sadan, October 29th

Mr. and Mrs. Ehud & Sara Sadan hosted an event at Mr. Sadan’s offices at Ancin, Block and Anchin LLC in New York on October 29th with guest speaker Maj. Gen Eitan Ben Eliahu.  He discussed the current strategic and diplomatic challenges facing Israel with threats from Iran and Syria. Among the guests was the Honorable Assemblyman Greg Ball, two former IAF Pilots.

Mr. Robert Miller, October 30th

Maj. Gen Eitan Ben Eliahu was the guest speaker at Goldman Sachs on October 30th in New York hosted by Mr. Robert Miller. The discussion dealt with the current challenges facing Israel with threats from Iran and Syria.

Mr. and Mrs. Fred and Nadine Rosen,
November 5th

Mr. and Mrs. Fred & Nadine Rosen hosted a cocktail reception in their Bel Air home on November 5th with guest speaker, Col. Benny Kiryati, a former POW. Col. Kiryati shared his heroic story of surviving three months of extreme torture and upon his return to Israel he completed his law degree became the Mayor of Tiberias.  He emphasized the need to create a IAF Heritage and Legacy Center within the IAF Center.

Hekmat Ravan Family, November 7th

Guest Speaker Col. Benny Kiryati was hosted by Mr. & Mrs. Hekmat & Haida Hekmat Ravan, Mr. & Mrs. Said & Jila Raban, and Mr. & Mrs. Hamid & Christine Hekmat Ravan.  The event took place on November 7th at the Beverly Hills home of Mr. and Mrs. Hekmat Ravan.  The event raised awareness of our important Annual June Mission to Israel.

Mr. & Mrs. Farid and Stella Pakravan,
November  8th   

Marking their third event on behalf of the IAF Center, Dr. and Mrs. Farid & Stella Pakravan hosted a dinner in their Brentwood home on November 8th for 20 guests.  The Pakravan family was honored through a dedication ceremony at the IAF Center for their continued generosity and support.  Guest Speaker Col. Benny Kiryati shared his personal story – both tragic and triumphant – with their guests.  

Eretz Siamak Cultural Center,
November 10th

Longtime IAFC supporters, Mr. and Mrs. Habib & Manijeh Pournazarian organized an opportunity for Col. Benny Kiryati to speak at the Shabbat Services at Eretz Siamak Cultural Center Synagogue.  After sharing his personal story, Col. Kiryati received a standing ovation from the congregation of over 500 people, all of whom were visibly moved by his story of bravery and survival.
